The project is a renovation of a three-story single-family house named "Oriental Classical Aesthetics in Modern Times". The first-floor social area has a Chinese-style wall of patterns reminiscent of the traditional Oriental style, thus echoing the name of the space with a name that in ancient times symbolized the splendor of the building.
The style plan is based on floors. By subverting the tradition, the residence presents the client's preferred style in a way that "darkens the social area and brightens the private area". The social area on the first floor is covered with artistic paint to bring out the beauty of the grayscale. The master bedroom on the second floor is in a hotel-style concept, adding the client's favorite Japanese style based on convenience, and then rattan weaving shows the wabi-sabi and casual southeastern style. The mix-and-match style is perfectly integrated into the space by matching various materials. Finally, the dome shape adds a sense of softness, and the irregularly shaped beams are wrapped up to present a clean visual effect.
