The packaging for ALAL Shampoo Series seamlessly marries Eastern culture with modern design, reflecting the brand’s core philosophy of ‘Inheritance of Eastern Herbal Wisdom’. It features a minimalist form, natural materials, and refined visual expression, leveraging the systematic integration of shape, color, and texture to achieve a modern interpretation of traditional charm.
The ‘circle’ as the core element runs through the whole packaging—including the cap, body, and detailing. This not only echoes the completeness, inclusiveness, and harmony represented by the circle in Chinese philosophy to embody Eastern wisdom, but also presents a visually gentle and balanced aesthetic. The packaging, also inspired by the ridges of traditional Chinese buildings and the drop-shoulder style of the qipao (a traditional Chinese dress), incorporates a meticulously angled shoulder structure, blending modern minimalism with Eastern elegance. The vertically arranged text on the bottle, reminiscent of gracefully unrolling Chinese handscrolls, brings users to traditional Chinese reading practice and clearly displays herbal ingredients. Such a well-organized layout highlights the product’s professionalism.
Rooted in Eastern culture, the packaging applies vermilion red derived from the Forbidden City to the pump head, forming a striking visual focus—conveying the auspicious meaning of ‘great luck at hand’ and significantly improving brand recognition. Red dots are interspersed within the text to serve as dividers, catering to Eastern reading habits to enhance cultural identity. Moreover, beige as the main color creates a clean and warm atmosphere.
The well-chosen materials further showcase natural and Eastern essence: the bottle adopts a smooth matte material, giving a restrained yet elegant visual effect and a skin-like touch to offer users a soothing experience; the outer box is crafted from raw wood pulp paper without coatings, whose rough, textured surface evokes the association with natural herbs, encouraging users to return to nature.
