鈥淏iang Jiang藠: Striving Toward Our Beautiful Homeland鈥� Exhibition Album

Biang Jiang藠: Striving Toward Our Beautiful Homeland brings together treasured artifacts and collections from Taiwan鈥檚 public and private museums, local cultural institutions, and individual collectors to comprehensively showcase the multiple facets of Hakka culture in Taiwan. The exhibition is organized around six perspectives鈥攈istory, life, faith, protection, innovation, and art鈥攅ach named in the Hakka language as Sai藠, Jiang藠, Gin, Biang, Bien, and Qim藝,collectively illustrating the diversity and vitality of Hakka culture in Taiwan.
The title 鈥淏iang Jiang藠鈥� carries a dual meaning. On one hand, it embodies the Hakka people鈥檚 spirit of resilience and perseverance as well as their aesthetics of daily life, expressing both the tradition and innovation of Hakka culture. On the other, it reflects how the exhibition gathers a rich collection from multiple major public and private institutions, allowing Taiwan鈥檚 Hakka cultural relics to shine together. The exhibition further encompasses themes of migration, community, aesthetics, beliefs, economy, industries, and arts, with curatorial and research contributions from professionals, cultural historians, and academics.
