Zhenze Town, with 鈥渟ilk as its soul, pastoral charm as its essence, and water transport as its lifeblood,鈥� has nurtured a millennia-old silk culture and the natural poetic charm of Jiangnan. This project aims to create 鈥渁 high-end aesthetic museum rich in cultural attributes,鈥� drawing inspiration from the simplicity of Yuji Bridge east of the town, the elegance of Shijian Hall on Baota Street, the exuberance of pastoral scenery, and the limpid allure of Taihu Lake鈥攚eaving the whispers of history and the gifts of nature into the spatial fabric.
The design unfolds around the theme of 鈥渢ime-honored precipitation and life healing鈥�: the leisurely sequence of entering the museum and returning to the courtyard unfolds a relaxed state of mind; artistic conversations while leaning on the railings and gazing into the distance settle the soul; gatherings with family and friends over drinks amid the shadows of leaves during festivals renew warm affections. Meanwhile, the child-friendly world and the tea-scented quiet room, separated by function, create an age-inclusive scenario鈥攁 comfortable and symbiotic living space where every stay becomes a journey of physical and mental healing.
Facing the challenge of a tight construction schedule, the project adopted the strategy of advancing design and deepening simultaneously, with regular inspections and adjustments to ensure quality. To address the difficulty of balancing scale and proportion for artworks in the lobby, 3D modeling was introduced during preliminary stages to assist design and precisely control the proportional relationships of the forms. In material selection, artistic fabrics and natural luxury stones were chosen to enhance spatial quality. Carefully selected natural elements not only reduced labor costs but also maintained environmental cleanliness and usage comfort, practicing the concept of green design.
Here, the elegant charm of silk culture, the delicate beauty of pastoral and water scenes, and the warmth of modern life converge, creating a high-end aesthetic space that carries cultural memories and contemporary aesthetics.
