Considering that, XTEP has launched 160X7.0, aiming to meet runners’ core demands for greater speed and enhanced safety.
160X7.0, themed on ‘Born to Break, Engineered to Win’, draws inspiration from sharks and elite fighter jets. Its angular designs and smooth aerodynamic lines present a sharp visual effect to give a sense of speed and effectively reduce air drag for performance improvement. In terms of color selection, the bold contrast of vibrant orange and metallic silver creates a striking visual language to showcase the ultimate aesthetics of speed. Moreover, the shoe incorporates graphic elements like racing stripes, which is reminiscent of top supercars, rendering it highly recognizable and attractive.
160X7.0 innovatively optimizes its outsole, midsole, forefoot area, and last, establishing an excellent foot support & protection system. For the outsole, the design team, through AI-powered biomechanical analysis, has created a pixel-patterned anti-slip outsole to deliver omnidirectional traction for both lateral and longitudinal slip resistance. Its combination with a GT700 carbon fibre plate minimizes the risk of ankle rolls. The XTEP ACE resilient midsole, complemented by the XTEP POWER propulsive carbon fiber plate, forms a dual system for cushioning and propulsion to offer consistent, stable energy return. The shoe boasts a widened forefoot area with an increased lateral curvature, and integrates a forward rolling design to facilitate a smooth and efficient transition from heel strike to toe-off. The exclusive XTEP FIT last, taking into account the foot shapes of millions of Chinese, guarantees a snug and comfortable fit during long-distance runs. Additionally, the upper, made of the upgraded jacquard fabric, features unique square holes to strike a balance between breathability and strength.
160X7.0 also achieves outstanding environmental friendliness, aligning well with the development trend of the industry towards sustainability. Its midsole employs supercritical foaming technology to reduce the use of chemical agents; the whole product, crafted from recyclable materials, eases environmental burden throughout its lifecycle.
