Our client aims to revamp the space without disrupting the existing layout, while striving for optimum spatial elevation. Hence, the overall design is based on the existing foundation, while refining functionality, comfort, and aesthetic appeal in both public and private domains. By adeptly leveraging structural pillars, we introduced exquisite tall cabinets at the entrance foyer and dining areas, enhancing visual focal points. By employing varying floor materials and grid-patterned glass sliding doors between the kitchen and dining space, we not only delineate boundaries for public spaces but also sought to control oil fumes when cooking, maintaining depth of view and fluidity of light and shadow. The master bedroom, originally elongated and close to the bathroom area, is transformed into an independent dressing room, optimizing movement flow and resolving the fengshui taboo of facing the toilet upon entering the room. The secondary bedroom, boasting panoramic views, features a window-side lounging area that seamlessly blends practicality with a romantic touch, a favorite of the matriarch of the house.

"The entire property style is inspired by the homeowner's love for American elements, such as by embracing a palette of soft whites, warm grays and wooden tones to lay a solid foundation, and intangibly expand the space. Classic motifs, such as classic cornices, patterned tiles and wooden shutters, are seamlessly incorporated, emphasizing continuity and intricate detailing. The foyer's tile mosaic creates a welcoming focal point, while the kitchen's splashback and flooring, as well as the intricate craftsmanship of the blue-green tiling across the three bathrooms, all underscore a new interpretation of the American style, rich in understated luxury, sophistication, personality and artistic flair!
